Public programs coordinator at the Kopernik Observatory and Science Center in Vestal, Roy Williams talks with Kathy Whyte on the Southern Tier Close Up public affairs program airing September 15th at 12:10 p.m. about the various programs at the observatory on Underwood Road for people of all ages.  Williams says programs not only include viewing of heavenly bodies on clear nights and space related issues but also geology, climate change and, in the future, computer labs.  One featured event coming up is Astrofest with a wide variety of speakers and programs.
