Kirkwood Man Jailed After Traffic Stop

A 28-year-old Broome County man was arrested following a traffic stop in the town of Kirkwood.

Authorities say Thomas Devrieze of Kirkwood was pulled over by New York State Police on Gorman Road.

Troopers reported Devrieze's blood alcohol content was measured at 0.22 percent.

They say Devrieze was charged with driving while intoxicated and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Devrieze also was cited for several vehicle and traffic violations.

Devrieze was arraigned in Kirkwood town court and sent to Broome County Jail on $1500 bail.
