Troopers say 32-year-old David Bush allegedly threatened to harm two children and had reportedly been seen in the home holding an axe while at least one child was still inside.

Several police agencies responded to the scene.

Bush surrendered to authorities following negotiations a little over five hours after police arrived at the house.

There were no injuries.

Bush was sent to the Broome County Jail on $1,000 bail.
