Binghamton High School point-guard K.J. Rose signed a letter of intent this afternoon to continue his basketball career at Fairfield University, a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.  Rose, a 6′ 1″ guard, accepted a full athletic scholarship to play for the Stags.  The signing took place at Binghamton High School.

In two seasons playing for the Patriots Rose helped lead his team to two Section 4 Class AA Championships.  This season Rose averaged 16 points per game as the Partiots went to the New York State Regional semi-finals before losing to New Rochelle.

Fairfield finished the past season with an overall record of 19-15.  In MAAC play the Stags ended up with a 9-9 slate.  Fairfield is scheduled to face National Champion Louisville in the Stags’ second game of the upcoming season.
