July Fest is getting underway in Downtown Binghamton.

Downtown Binghamton Business Association President Ron Sall says there are more than 40 vendors ranging from photography, painting and pottery to jewelry and even an artist who crafts wooden flutes.

The festivities also feature the annual Jazz Festival with almost continuous music through all three days, July 8-10.

Events Saturday, July 9 start at 9 a.m. with the Parlor City 5K Run from the Court Street Bridge and winding through the West Side, making it back to the July Fest downtown site.

For the entire festival, Court Street is blocked off from the round about to Water Street and State Street and State Street is closed from the parking garage to Court Street.  There will also be brief traffic interruptions on the West Side during the race.
