Broome County Sheriff’s Officials say a Johnson City woman is facing a long list of charges for damage to a small vacant plaza building on Floral Avenue across from the Ackley Avenue intersection April 11.

Authorities say 25 year old Kristina Cook is accused of driving a stolen truck when it smashed into the side of the building at around 1:20 a.m.

There were no serious injuries, but the impact left a large hole in the side of the building facing a parking lot between the Southside Plaza and Adriano’s Pizza.

In all, Cook is facing 12 charges between that incident and warrants in Windsor, including felony criminal possession of stolen property, driving without a license, violation of an ignition interlock restriction and the felony warrant for charges of burglary and grand larceny.

Deputies say the Dodge Ram had been reported stolen Sunday, April 10 from the Del Motel in the Town of Kirkwood.

During the early morning pursuit with Broome Deputies, authorities say Cook narrowly missed side-swiping a Johnson City patrol car.

Thomas Devireze, who was riding in the truck, was taken into custody on a parole violation warrant.
