Johnson City Police Chief Joseph Zikuski announced today the arrest of a Johnson City man who is suspected of killing a man and shooting two others back in April.

Police have arrested 22-year-old Derrick Mann of Burbank Avenue in Johnson City for the shootings which occurred on April 20th on Grand Avenue in the Village.

Johnson City Police, along with other local agencies, conducted a lengthy investigation that led detectives to the New York City and New Jersey area.  Mann was taken into custody on an unrelated charge by the Binghamton Police Department in September of 2012.

Mann has been officially charged with 2nd Degree Murder, 2nd Degree Attempted Murder, two counts of 1st Degree Assault, and 2nd Degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

He was remanded to the Broome County Jail without bail.
