Johnson City Man Charged with Sexual Abuse

A Johnson City man has been accused of having forced sexual contact with a child.

Authorities say 60-year-old Robert Lipka was arrested following a report to a child abuse hot line.

According to Johnson City police, Lipka was charged with first-degree sexual abuse, a felony. He also faces a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child.

Investigators say the arrest was made with assistance from Binghamton police and New York State Police.

Lipka was arraigned in Johnson City village court and sent to Broome County Jail.
