Johnson City Police have arrested a 38 year old village man in connection with the November 12th and 16th robberies at the CVS Pharmacy on Main Street.

Police say a tip from a citizen led to the arrest of Brittain Purcelle.

Investigators say they believe Purcelle is the man who entered the pharmacy shortly after 8:30 p.m. on the 12 and indicated he had a weapon in his pocket.

Police accuse Purcelle of robbing the same store at knife-point four days later shortly after 7:30 p.m.

Purcelle is charged with two felony robbery counts and was sent to the Broome County Correctional Facility.

Village Police say they want residents to know they apprciate the public’s help in crime solving and prevention. The Johnson City Police can be contacted by calling (607) 729-9321 or by visiting the village website www.johnsoncityny.us.
