Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Authorities say Jonathan Macarak was arrested December 4 after his wife told police he was loading a handgun inside the house. Police had been called to the residence around 3:45 a.m.

The woman said Macarak had threatened to harm her and himself.

Police say Macarak was detained when he emerged from the home.

Officers found a loaded gun in the residence. Investigators determined the weapon had been stolen from the Gander Mountain store on Harry L Drive in Johnson City five years ago.

Macarak was employed by Gander Mountain at the time of the theft.

Macarak was charged with three felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon. He also was charged with menacing. He was arraigned in Johnson City village court and sent to Broome County Jail without bail.
