Johnson City Man Accused of Stealing iPads

A felony grand larceny charge is filed against a Johnson City man following a theft at a business at the Oakdale Mall.

Police say 23 year old Richard Vanleuven is accused of stealing three iPAD Minis from the Verizon Store on Christmas Eve.

He was escorted back to the store by employees and turned over the $1,200 electronics he had reportedly stuffed in his jacket.

Authorities say Vanleuven tried to leave the store but was held there until police arrived by employees and a customer.

Vanleuven was released and ordered to appear in court at a later date.
