Police investigators say they believe a Johnson City resident broke into a neighbor's apartment, stole a television and then sold it to someone else in his building.

Authorities say 32-year-old David Hopkins has been charged with burglary and criminal possession of stolen property.

Detectives say police received a report on Friday that an apartment in a Park Street building had been burglarized.

Officers were told a television had been taken in the break-in. Police checked the building and later found the stolen item in another apartment.

Hopkins was arraigned in Union town court and ordered held in Broome County Jail.
