Johnson City Man Accused Of Hurting Son

A 26-year-old Johnson City man has been charged with assault in connection with an injury to his young son.

Authorities say Kashawn Mackey was accused of striking the four-year-old boy in the face.

According to police, Mackey also was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Investigators say the boy was taken to Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City for treatment.

Police say Mackey left the family's apartment after the incident.

Mackey was arraigned in village court and sent to Broome County Jail.
