Another local police dog is benefitting from the national charity “Vested Interest in K9s.”

Johnson City Police Department K9 Anouk is getting a bullet and stab protective vest.

The equipment, which costs over $1,000 is being made possible by a craft fair fundraiser that had been hosted by Vested Interest.

Anouk’s vest is being embroidered with “In memory of K9 C.J., Johnson City Police Department.”

C.J. died of cancer September 25, 2015.

C.J. was the first Johnson City Police Dog to get a protective vest, followed by K9 Cruz last year.
