Johnson City Holding Tire Collection Event

A free tire drop-off event has been scheduled for Johnson City residents.

Village officials say old tires will be collected at the Department of Public Works Garage Saturday from 7 to 11 a.m. The drop-off site is at 124 Brown Street.

Only passenger vehicle tires with no rims will be accepted at the event. Each person may drop off no more than four tires at the site.

Tires from people who don't live in Johnson City won't be accepted. Those who wish to drop off tires will have to prove they are a village resident.
