Johnson City is looking for residents and businesses to provide ideas about an ideal downtown district as the new Binghamton University Pharmacy School takes shape and the Century-Sunrise housing development.

The Village is hosting a design studio in the spring in partnership with SUNY Environmental Sciences and Forestry center for Community Design Research.

Leading up to that, officials are holding community workshops to collect ideas about a vision for the ideal downtown Johnson City that can be drawn up into design plans and illustrations.

Anyone interested in planning development that will start in January can come to the Village Justice Court on the 2nd floor of the Police Department at 31 Avenue C November 14 at 5:30 p.m. for an information session.

The design project is scheduled to be finished in May.
