Johnson City Daycare Operator Sentenced on Drug Charge

A Johnson City daycare provider will be supervised, herself, for six years in a New York State Prison.

33 year old Theresa Sunderland has been sentenced on a felony drug charge for having powder and crack cocaine at her home where she was operating an unlicensed day care service.

Sunderland pleaded guilty in July to felony criminal possession of a controlled substance.

At the time of her arrest in December 2012, officials with the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force say they found a two year old child was in the woman’s care within reach of the drugs.
