Johnson City Convenience Store Robbed

A Manley's Mighty Mart store on Riverside Drive in Johnson City was robbed by a gun-wielding man this morning.

Authorities say the man locked an employee into an office at the rear of the store.

Police say the robbery happened about 7:15 a.m.

The robber left the business at the corner of Riverside Drive and Adams Avenue with some cash. Investigators said he was last seen running west.

Johnson City police detectives were being assisted by investigators from Binghamton police and the Broome County Sheriff's Office.

A Binghamton police canine unit was called to the scene to assist in locating the suspect.
