A jury is being seated in Broome County to hear testimony in a case against a Johnson City man accused of possessing over a dozen illegal weapons as well as ammunition, ammunition feeding devices and other items.

64 year old Ramadan Abdullah was arrested following a report of a theft from the Gander Mountain store in Johnson City in May.

Following the initial report of a shoplifter grabbing ammunition from Gander Mountain, authorities searched a storage unit in the Town of Union and residences associated with Abdullah and found a large cache of weapons and ammunition, including armor-piercing rounds.

Abdullah was indicted in July on a total of 15 counts of criminal possession of a weapon. He also was indicted on a misdemeanor petit larceny charge.
