Job Training is Available in Broome County

Broome County officials are reminding residents that there are job training programs available for businesses and job-seekers.

There are reportedly some 2,000 unfilled jobs in Broome County with companies often saying they can’t find qualified people for the positions.

Broome-Tioga Workforce NY offers training sessions as well as a job recruitment effort to match local people with local companies.

On-the-job training grants are available to help businesses manage expenses. One of the programs in the County reimburses employers 50% of wages paid to new hires during job training.
