Jimmy Sturr at Tioga Downs

There were a lot of toes tappping Saturday when polka legend Jimmy Sturr and his band played Tioga Downs Casino.  Sturr sold out performances at 2 and 5 PM.  Sturr has won 18 Grammy Awards given for Best Polka Album. Sturr has recorded albums with many of the music industry's great talents including Willie Nelson, Bobby Vinton, the Oak Ridge Boys and Charlie Daniels.

On a rainy and cold afternoon Sturr and his band warmed things up with hit after hit including "How Married Are You Mary Ann" and "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" featuring Frank Urbanovitch..

The group played two different shows and had the crowd rocking for both.  Sturr and his band have made numerous appearances in our area including previous stops at Tioga Downs as well as the Spiediefest and Balloon Rally.
