A Broome County man has been accused of stealing earrings from an Oakdale Mall store.

Authorities say 21-year-old James Oneill of the town of Union is suspected of cutting a lock on a jewelry display case at the Macy's store in Johnson City.

According to Johnson City police, two pair of earrings valued at $1200 were taken.

Oneill was charged with felony grand larceny and misdemeanor possession of burglar tools.

Oneill was sent to Broome County Jail after his arraignment in Johnson City village court.
