The Jewish Community Center is providing programs through the winter that range from taming a troublesome terrier to taming a troublesome tummy.

Speaking on the Southern Tier Close Up public affairs program airing January 26th, adult programming coordinator and marketing director for the JCC, Linda Salomons told host, Kathy Whyte that all the programs at the Vestal facility are open to non-members as well as members at fees that are routinely far lower than other, commercial facilities.

Winter programs include dog training Monday evenings begining January 28th, water exercise sessions, spinning, pilates and other fitness programs for all ages and abilities.  The center is also hosting dance classes, adult music lessions for people who may have been in a band in the past or those who would like to be in the JCC band program and defensive driving instruction. There are also new programs and equipment in the gym for children from pre-kindergarten to teens.

A complete listing of programs and information about the not for profit organization can be found at www.binghamtonjcc.org. The center can be reached by calling (607)724-2417. JCC Binghamton is also on facebook.

The Southern Tier Close Up airs Saturdays at 12:10 p.m. on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
