JC Man Charged with Forgery and Identity Theft
Authorities say a man used someone else's credit card to buy hundreds of dollars in gift cards at a Johnson City business.
Investigators say 36-year-old James Konidis of Johnson City faces two felony counts in connection with the purchase.
According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, Konidis allegedly bought gift cards worth $300 using an acquaintance's credit card without that person's authorization.
Detectives say the purchase occurred at a gas station in Johnson City.
Konidis was charged with second-degree forgery and first-degree identity theft. He was arraigned in Johnson City village court and sent to Broome County Jail without bail.
