Police in Johnson City say a man faces felony charges after he allegedly kicked in the door at a woman's residence.

Authorities say 39-year-old Robert Lee of Johnson City was arrested on Monday.

According to police, Lee is accused of entering a residence on Laurel Street while the woman was home. The incident occurred on January 17.

Investigators say the action also violated an order of protection which had been issued by Johnson City village court about 90 minutes before the door was kicked in.

Police say Lee fled the area before officers arrived at the scene. He was taken into custody after detectives obtained an arrest warrant.

Lee was charged with felony counts of first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree burglary. He also was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.

Lee was arraigned In Johnson City village court and sent to Broome County Jail.
