More is Released About the January 11 Sherburne Crash

Chenango County Sheriff’s officials are now releasing more information about a crash in Sherburne January 11 where one man died and another was injured.

Authorities say 69 year old Larry Cooley of Sayre Pennsylvania was driving south on State Highway 12 in the Town of Sherburne at 10:23 a.m. when his vehicle crossed the center line and hit a vehicle driven by Lance Yerton of Sherburne.

Authorities now say Cooley, who was pronounced dead at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital in Utica, suffered a heart attack, causing him to cross into the on-coming lane.

Yerton was taken to Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital with leg and face injuries.
