BU Bearcat senior outfielder Jake Thomas has picked up where he left off last season...crushing the baseball.  Thomas, who has been a  First Team America East All-Star selection the past two seasons, has earned his fourth career Player of the Week honors.

Thomas, a Bearcat captain, went 6-13 for a .462 average average in Binghamton's opening series of the season against Auburn.  Among the six hits were a home run, triple and five runs batted in over three games played.

Last season Thomas batted .270, had six home runs and drove in 35 runs.  The standout start for Thomas also earned him Binghamton University's Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC Athlete of the Week.

The Bearcats were scheduled to head to William & Mary to begin a weekend series  but that series has been cancelled due to bad weather in the south.
