Ithaca Cemetery President Charged With Grand Larceny

A Tompkins County man has been accused of stealing more than $50,000 worth of property and cash from an Ithaca cemetery.

Authorities say 50-year-old Scott Goodrich of Enfield was charged with felony grand larceny.

According to New York State Police, Goodrich is president of Lake View Cemetery.

Investigators say police were called January 29 to look into a report of stolen lawn equipment from the property.

Police say Goodrich is suspected of stealing money and property from the business over the past several months.

Goodrich was arraigned in Ithaca town court. He is scheduled to appear in court on February 27.
