Members of the Independent Oil and Gas Association in New York State are urging Governor Andrew Cuomo to get off the dime when it comes to a review of hydraulic fracture drilling for natural gas in the state.

The I.O.G.A. has sent a letter to the Governor concerning recent reports from an anonymous source in the state government of the appointment of three experts to review the proposed guidelines for fracking.

The letter says that the I.O.G.A. of New York and its members have waited patiently for the supplemental generic environmental impact statement and the new regulations on drilling.

The group says a delay in getting a final study and a move forward on natural gas development in the state has already cost numerous jobs.
