Interview: Broome Sheriff Discusses His Future

Broome County Sheriff David Harder tells WNBF’s Binghamton Now he likes the job and has no intention of giving it up.

Harder is 74 and he’s worked for the sheriff’s office for 52 of those years. When he was challenged by Christopher Bracco is 2014, Harder said he was seeking his final four-year term.

But during a live interview this week, Harder laughed when he was asked about retirement. He made it clear he still enjoys coming to work every day and would like to continue doing that indefinitely.
