Imani Watkins Preseason Honors

Binghamton Bearcat Imani Watkins has been named to the America East Preseason All-Conference Team.  Watkins had a superb sophomore season last year when she took over much of the team's point guard duties with the injury to Jasmine Sina and hit for 16 points per game which was fifth best in the conference.  She earned All-Conference Second-Team honors last season.

Along with Watkins other members of the 2016-17 Preseason All-Confererence Team include: Senior Imani Tate from Albany, Deanna Mayza, Senior from the Hartford Hawks, Sigi Koizar from Maine, UMBC's Taylor McCarley and Senior Pandora Wilson also from the UMBC Retrievers.

The Preseason All-Conference Team was selected by the Head Coaches in America East.  No coach could vote for his or her own player.

Watkins will look to lead the Bearcats into action on Sunday, October 30 at 2:00 PM at the Events Center against the University of Rochester.  All games will again be broadcast on News Radio 1290 WNBF or ESPN 1360 AM WYOS.
