A Binghamton man is accused of illegally having several guns.

Members of the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task force searched the Moeller Street apartment of 31 year old Amin Rashid on May 22 and say they found two shotguns and a Beretta .22 caliber handgun with a defaced serial number.

Authorities say Rashid initially also gave police a false name to try to conceal that he was wanted on a parole warrant.

Rashid is charged four felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon, criminal impersonation and the violation of his New York State parole.

He was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.

Broome SIU was assisted on the scene by the Binghamton Police Community Response Team and a Binghamton Police Department K9.
