Icy Conditions on Twin Tiers Sidewalks and Streets

Kathy Whyte/ WNBF News

Motorists and pedestrians alike are being cautioned about slippery conditions.

Moisture from precipitation and melting snow has frozen on sidewalks and on roadways.

Intersections are especially prone to black ice from frozen run-off.

Warm daytime temperatures followed by below freezing conditions at night are expected to persist for a few days, causing the icing conditions to persist.

Fog is also forecast for many areas overnight and mornings into the weekend.
