An arrest has been made after several hundred dollars was stolen from the prison account of a Bradford County jail inmate.

Authorities say 31-year-old Jason Vandermark of Tunkhannock was charged with theft by deception.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Vandermark is accused of obtaining the prison-issued personal identification number of a 69-year-old man.

The inmate - who was being held in Bradford County Jail Cell Block Six - lost more than $442 when his PIN number allegedly was used to charge several phone calls to his account.
