Humvee Crash in Dickinson Results in Charges

Bob Joseph/WNBF News

A crash on Bevier Street near Bigelow Street in the Town of Dickinson early on the morning of July 26 is translating into charges against an Ouaquaga man.

Broome County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 42 year old Robert Krom Jr. after they responded to a report of a Humvee off the road and into a tree.

Authorities say the force of the crash toppled the tree, which nearly fell onto a house.

Officials say they detected a smell of alcohol on Krom’s breath.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to take a breath screening and moving from a lane unsafely.

He’s been ordered to appear in Town of Dickinson Court at a later date.
