The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force is reporting a huge drug haul following a traffic stop on Route 201 south near State Route 17 West February 21 and a search of a motel room in the Town of Union.

Officials say 36 year old Jahi Fatiu of Endicott is charged with three felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, three lesser counts of drug possession and criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Authorities say they found 1,249 envelopes of heroin and $1,066 in the vehicle and another 130 glassine envelopes of heroin, prescription medications and drug packaging material in the motel.

Officials say they also found there was a New York State Division of Parole warrant for Fatiu’s arrest.
