WNBF News/ Roger Neel Photo

Horizons Bearcats Hoop Talk is set for 7 PM tonight at the River Bistro at the Doubletree by Hilton.  Joining Roger Neel for the live broadcast will be both Binghamton University head basketball coaches.  Women’s Coach Nicole Scholl will talk about the Bearcats loss to Maine at the Events Center on Saturday.  She will also preview the team’s next game which is a home contest versus Stony Brook on Wednesday night at 7 PM (6:45 airtime on 1360 AM WYOS).

Men’s head coach Tommy Dempsey will look back at the loss to the UMass Lowell River Hawks on Saturday and the Bearcats road game at Stony Brook Wednesday (6:45 PM on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  In addition Coach Dempsey will talk about the training schedule during the holidays and school vacation.

The Bearcats received some good news this afternoon.  Freshman guard Yosef Yacob has been named  the America East Rookie of the Week.  Yacob becomes the fourth BU freshman to earn those honors.  He averaged 15 points and 6.5 assists in two America East games last week.  In Thursday’s win over New Hampshire Yacob registered 12 assists…the most of any America East player this season.

Fans can email questions for Coach Dempsey to: roger@wnbf.com.  Coach Dempsey also answers questions from the audience during each show.
