Hooper Road Bridge To Be Closed In September
Broome County officials are giving drivers who use an Endwell bridge advance notice of a detour they'll encounter in a couple of weeks.
The Hooper Road bridge over East Main Street will be out of service for about three weeks.
The span that carries thousands of vehicles over Route 17C each day will be closed for a rehabilitation project.
The bridge is scheduled to be closed at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2. It should reopen at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, weather permitting.
Detour routes will include Watson Boulevard in Endwell, Harry L Drive in Johnson City, Route 201 and Route 17C.
