The tradition of Honor Flights is continuing this year in Broome County.

Veterans will be flown, free of charges from Binghamton to Washington DC November 12 to see the war memorials dedicated to various conflicts.

The Honor Flights locally were started in 2014 as a way to thank veterans for their service.

This year, 55 veterans are scheduled to take off the day after Veterans’ Day for the flight.

To register a veteran or guardian for a future flight go to  www.twintiershonorflight.org.
