Homer Man Faces Additional Charges in Burglary Investigation

Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say a Homer man is charged with felony burglary as authorities found stolen items at his home.

Authorities say 69 year old Patrick Burke Senior struggled with officers when they showed up at his home on Cold Brook Road in the Town of Scott at 5:12 p.m. November 8 while investigating a burglary at a home in the Town of Scott.

Authorities say during their search they found a rifle, which Burke is prohibited from having since he has a prior felony conviction.

Burke is charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor counts of petit larceny, obstructing governmental administration and criminal possession of a weapon.
