A Bradford County, Pennsylvania  man, who said he wanted to be with his family instead of in jail for the holidays, has less of a chance now of enjoying Christmas at home than he did yesterday when he was to be sentenced for drunk driving.

49 year old Tommy Turner of Rome is accused of calling bomb threats in to the Bradford County Courthouse, clearing the building for six hours.

The calls were made about 2 in the afternoon and the building was evacuated. No device was found and there were no injuries.

Pennsylvania State Police investigators say Turner told him his attempt to delay his sentencing was intended to allow him to stay free for the holidays.
