High School Football is set for its seventh week of competition.  Friday night the Binghamton Patriots host Corning at Alumni Stadium at 7 (WNBF airtime at 6:55).  The Patriots have won four straight contests and are 5-1.  Corning brings a 3-3 record into play.

On Saturday one of the biggest rivalries in Section 4 continues as Chenango Forks hosts Chenango Valley at 1:30 (1:25 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  With the possibility of a merger between the schools this could be the last meeting between the two as separate teams.  The Blue Devils come in at 5-1 with the only loss to Tioga by a score of 7-0.  They have won their last four in a row.

The Warriors are 4-2 and they also have won four straight.  Last week CV topped Waverly 31-21 while The Forks crushed Greene 69-0.  Chenango Valley has scored 209 points for a per game average of 35.  Chenango Forks has rolled up 235 points on the season and average 39 points per contest.  Defensively, CV has given up 99 points or 16.5 points per outing while CF has given up a total of 46 points or 7.6 points per game.
