High School Football Hits The Air

The New York State Class A Champion Maine-Endwell Spartans host the Chenango Valley Warriors tomorrow at 130 in the WNBF Radio High School Football Game of the Week.  The Spartans clobbered Marcellus last Sunday in their season opener in the Carrier Dome 54-13.  M-E’s high-powered running attack featuring powerful fullback Nick Sorrenti and speedsters Justin Jacoby and Luis Uceta keyed the ground game while quarterback Kyle Gallagher was 2-2 passing and ran for 58 yards.  The Warriors opened their season with a 49 – 7 loss at Corning.  CV was a Section 4  Class B finalist last season.  This year the Spartans have moved from Class A to Class B.     Tonight a a pair of 1-0 teams collide in Greene as the Trojans host the Walton Warriors.  Also tonight the Binghamton Patriots travel to Towanda with both teams looking for their first win of the season and Chenango Forks travels to Oneonta

looking for win two in the young season.  The U-E Tigers hit the road with a game at Ithaca this evening as well.

Tomorrow’s schedule includes day games with the Johnson City Wildcats at Susquehanna Valley and Vestal visiting Horseheads.
