Officials are looking at the catwalk structure on the Huron Campus over McKinley Avenue in Endicott.

A woman complained a piece of concrete fell from the elevated walkway onto her car.

There were no injuries.

Mayor John Bertoni says he believes the catwalk poses a safety hazard after the village got the written report from the driver of the concrete hit.

Bertoni told local media that a November code inspection turned up a number of problems with the buildings west of the McKinley.

Heron officials have said the pedestrian bridge is safe in spite of being hit by tall trucks numerous times over the past several years.

The bridge was patched, however, after the village informed Heron of the claim by the driver.
