Following a two and a half year heroin trafficking investigation in the Village of Walton conducted by the Delaware County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division, a Village of Walton man was arrested on Thursday.

Arrested was 51-year-old James J. McGinn of East Street in Walton on an Indictment Warrant charging him with two Class B Felony counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.  McGinn, who is currently on probation and reportedly being supervised by the New York City Probation Department, is accused of selling heroin in the Village of Walton.

In October, 2012 McGinn was arrested on felony drug possession charges in Queens county and sentenced to three years probation upon being convicted of Criminal Possession of a controlled Substance in the Forth Degree, a Class C Felony.

McGinn was arraigned in Delaware County Court on Friday morning and remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.
