Herkimer County Man Injured in Chenango County Crash

A Little Falls, New York man is recovering from back and shoulder injuries suffered when the 18-wheel dump truck he as driving rolled over in the Town of Greene September 26.

Chenango County Emergency Services officials say 41 year old Sean Urich was driving east on State Highway 41 near Martin Road at around 2 p.m. when he lost control of the truck loaded with sand on a sharp curve.  The rig overturned, trapping Urich.

Urich was pulled from the cab by fire, law enforcement and medical personnel and airlifted to Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center in Johnson City.

He was ticketed for moving from a lane unsafely.
