Our WNBF listening area is predicted to get hit with what could be more substantial rainfall beginning on Sunday and continuing into Monday night.  As of Saturday afternoon the National Weather Service is calling for as much as 1-3 inches of rain in our Southern Tier of New York and Northern Tier of Pennsylvania.

With the heavy rains predicted the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the region.  The statement from the National Weather Service says that "Steady rain is expected to start Sunday afternoon and become heavy at times Sunday night and through the day on Monday.  A good portion of northeast Pennsylvania and central New York may see 1-3 inches of rain ...with locally heavier amounts possible."

The Flood Watch means there is the potential for flooding.  According to the information supplied by the National Weather Service the biggest threat for flooding in along small creeks and streams.
