Final preparations are being made for this Sunday's Southern Tier Heart Walk.  The walk will be held on campus at SUNY Broome.  Festivities begin at 9:00 AM inside the Ice Center with Opening Ceremonies set for 10:30 AM.   The walk is around the campus and is 1.5 miles long.  Participants can walk the course once or two times if they want to complete three total miles.

Participants can pre-register online at: SouthernTierHeartWalk.org.

Walkers can also register Sunday at the Ice Center prior to walking.  A minimum contribution of $25 is requested from all participants.  Walkers are also encouraged to get pledges to support their participation. Participants who raise $100 or more will receive the American Heart Association's official 2015 Heart Walk T-shirt.

Money raised will help the American Heart Association fund research, advocacy and awareness campaigns to help in the fight against heart disease and stroke.  WNBF's Roger Neel will broadcast live from the walk site Sunday morning beginning at 9:00 AM on the Barb Mack Show on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
