The annual Southern Tier Heart Walk to benefit the American Heart Association is set for Sunday, April 12.  For the first time the walk will be held on the campus of SUNY Broome.  Opening ceremonies are set just prior to the 10:30 walk.  Festivities and registration get underway at 9:00 AM.

Walkers are urged to make contributions as well as collect pledges to help in the fight against heart disease and stroke. Money raised through the walk goes for research and advocacy projects for the American Heart Association.

Teams are encouraged to participate and entrants can pre-register by going to SouthernTierHeartWalk.org.  WNBF's Roger Neel will broadcast from the event beginning at 9:00 AM on the Barb Mack Show.
