The 45th Annual Grecian Festival is being held this weekend at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, One Hellenic Center, 4121 O'Hara Drive in Vestal. The festival goes on rain or shine with plenty of room under big tents that provide shelter from bad weather.

The Grecian Festival opened Thursday and continues through Sunday afternoon.  Hours are:

Noon - 9:30 PM Friday

Noon - 9:30  Saturday and

Non - 5:00 P.M. on Sunday.

Shuttle bus service is provided from 6-9:30 P.M. Friday,  2 - 9:30 P.M. on Saturday and from 1 - 5 P.M. on Sunday.

Those who attend  can enjoy Hellenic Dancers, Greek Music, Jewelry and Religious Items for sale and plenty of food.  Featured items on the menu include Spanakopita, Mousaka, Pastichio, Dolmades, Gyros, Greek Salads and Souvlaki.  Plenty of pastries and baked goods are available as well including the always popular Baklava and Honey Puffs.  Sunday is always a favorite for visitors.  Lamb Dinners are served Sunday until they are sold out.

There is no admission charge.  There are a number of parking spaces on the church grounds.  Many choose to utilize the shuttle services when offered.  Dozens of volunteers donate their time to plan and work the festival.
